Researching history of the Swiss Reformation, scholars have always laid emphasis on its processes .This paper holds the Swiss Reformation has many particularities in its reasons, processes, characteristics as well as effect, and worth observing and studying generally .Among the European Reformation the Swiss one is one of the most important parts. Therefore, this paper will study it preliminarily from five aspects.The Swiss Confederation emerged into the Pre-reformation as something of political curiosity masked darker tension. But the reformer could take the advantage of the specific historical circumstances in politics, culture and geography. Before the Reformation, spread of the humanism ideas was interwoven with the requirement of saving the corrupt church and consolidating the national independence. These resulted in the Reformation.Zurich Reformation guided by Huldrych Zwingli achieved a partial victory in German Swiss. The Geneva Reformation championed by John Calvin gained a complete success in French-speaking Areas.The Swiss Reformation is peculiar in the fact that it follows a double line of development and its trace like the shape of a saddle . The Swiss outer circumstances were beneficial to the Swiss Reformation, which extended to everything. It is a movement of both independence.and creation, both democracy and violence.The Swiss Reformation is significant. It contributed to theprogress of society, development of economy, proprity of culture and prelimlinary shaping of Swiss Neutral. Calvinism that shaped in Geneva Reformation was sped to Europe, American and Asia and had a powerful influence in world history. It has occupied a curious place in the historiography of the European Reformation.
