English Reformation, whether in the history of world religions or the history of Europe and the United Kingdom is a very important change。In the process of the English Reformation, there are a variety of complicated contradictions, such as the contradiction between the king and the pope fighting for the rights, the confrontation between the Protestants and the Catholics and so on。After the whole Tudor, the British eventually established state religion which is neither the pure Lutheran or Calvinist, nor the Catholic Church。It finally established in the Elizabethan era, so it was called the "Elizabeth-style state religion."This thesis generally consists of three parts, it separately elaborates the background of the United Kingdom before the Reformation, the reform process and reform of the specific characteristics. The first part is the historical background of the Reformation on the British side, which is also divided into two specific directions, not only explores the broad social conditions before the English Reformation, but also analyses the specific situation the Church of England, which led to the direct source of the British Reformation, trying to find out all aspects of the reform from the source. The second part shows the winding process of the Reformation in the Tudor period, it specifically describe the four monarchs of the Tudor:HenryⅧ, EdwardⅥ, Queen Mary and Elizabeth I, during which the reformer and the Opposition fighted mutually. The last part is based on the first part and the second part to generalize the characteristics of the English Reformation, which is different from the Reformation of the other European countries during the same period o, it has distinctive British characteristics, it is a British product of special historical conditions. It is led by a ruler from the top of the top-down reform, and therefore determined that it is also a progress-step by step pattern Reformation.
