The Research Of The Settlements For Defensive "Bao Zhai" Along The Great Wall On Ming Dynasty In Yulin Area

Yulin area belongs to the town of Yansui which is the No.11 town amongthe ninth frontier along the Great Wall in Ming dynasty. There are a lot of sitesin Ming dynasty and defensive works along the Great Wall. 39 of defensiveBao Zhai and related settlements are the special configurations of the northtraditional Bao Zhai settlements. It will start with the Bao Zhai settlementsfrom the point of view of architecture in this dissertation. Firstly the articleintroduces the history and the defensive systems of the Great Wall. Secondlythe paper analyses the organizational system and revolution, landform andshockproof, constitute feature of the Bao Zhai settlements by the representativeexamples one by one which have been obtained during the investigate. In thepaper the write summarize three attributes of it. They are location of Bao Zhai,inside composing and architecture. On the foundation of above all the scrapbring forward the point of view about defensive system of arrangement and theissue of Bao Zhai's protection and exploitation. The article attempts to excavatethe inside charm of the north defensive Bao Zhai combining the other areasbesides the No.11 towns. As a whole after we clear up the process of the BaoZhai's producing, constructing and developing as a defensive wok in historyand put it into the whole frame of the north settlements development, it willcontribute to the research on the protection of the history civilization heritage,the digging of the history assess and the phylogeny of settlements.
