The Developing Hypothesis On The "Quantum Music Theory": The Mirror-analogy Mechanism Of Wave-particle Duality On Musical Structure Research

Content:The study on musical structure has become an academic point concerned by many musical theorists both from Rome and broad in recent years. They have done lots of various research from their respective subject study.As early as 1960s,Wu Zuqiang,a famous Chinese musical theorist and composer, had put forward his view of two musical structures-the broad musical structure, which is syathesis of all kinds of modifying approaches used in Music,and the narrow one.which also can be called the structure type of melody, containing the arrangement of paragraphs and the logical combiration, This theory was to a certain extent both representative and authoritative at that time, From the eighties of last century to the early stage of twenty-first century, the musical structure advanced by Zhao xiao sheng, a famous musical theorist, composer and musical educatioralist in China, Which is typical in the field of musical theory, expericed the evolution from two-sided theory to many-sided theory,and reflected macro-many-side -development in other fields like psychology ,acoustics etc.in musicalstructure research. Meanwhile, the specific micro-technique remains its main trend in the research of musical structure, A lot of musical theorists still concentrate their efforts on groping the field of technical structure of music, tracing back its source and so on .This thesis focuses on the study of musical structure. The first chapter, bases on The "Quantum Music Theory" that was posed by an American musician Dr.Mentel Hood in 1994, starting from wave-particle duality experiment fundamental substance of quantum theory, reflected in the study of musical structure, conducts a series of developing deduction in order to construct the theoretic hypothesis of wave-particle duality of the mirror-analogy mechanism, which creatively makes wave-particle duality of matter reflected in the study of musical structure, complicating one of tune structure and one of sound structure in musical structure; and in addition, by using the three research modes of musical psychology, which operate in technological process, makes the musical structure research not only emphasize the partical characteristics of details, but also lay stress on general unity of the entirety. The chapter Two puts the theoretic hypothesis into practical demonstration ,and displays in all aspects the practical application of wave-particle duality of the mirror-analogy mechanism in the research of musical structure by comparing the different understanding of the same musical form, Prelude,and Fuga, between Bach and shostakovitch, two corposers with different composing style in different times. Therefore, this thesis has elaborated the wave-particle duality of the mirror-analogy mechanism, namely "Quantum Music Theory",In musical structure research from theoretic interpretation to practical demonstration.
