It was in 1930s that the Chinese modern historical novel composition being in a peak period. Many famous writers created a few excellent historical novels, and among them, Shi Zhe-cun's works are the better works. With meticulous reform and embellish, "history" in his novels is changed into lyric, in which people are regarded as core, the true human nature is admired. And then, these lyric merge modern and classic perfection, too.In the historical novels, Shi Zhe-cun uses Freudism for shining the history person. By free association and interior monologue, the novels discover fully the subconscious and the sexual instincts of people. Moreover, Shi Zhe-cun depicts the double personality, and at the same time, presents the hot conflict between humanity and culture. On the other hand, although the novels have some disadvantages, such as men losing theirs own historic, these works still successfully make history into literature due to the fleshy person images.In addition to shape the ancients with the modern psychoanalysis theory, Shi Zhe-cun still carries on many kinds of skills about creation. Then, when experiments with the techniques of modern parties, he also pays attention to Chinese readers' reading habit and aesthetic experience. Just by the repeated attempts, his works realize the very merge of modern and tradition, which specially presented in the stream of consciousness, imago and the feeling of person etc.Besides, compared with other historical novels at that time, the historical novels of Shi Zhe-cun have unique characters, for example, the special views about the historical novel, the clinging pursue in literature, the deep humanities connotations and the original artistic style. By these new ways of making history into literature, the novels successfully expand the realm of the historical novel, and establish the important position in Chinese modern historical novel.
