Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski is recognized as the most unique and ripe movie author in the last 20 years of the 20th century. His movie has a distinct personal style difficult to imitate, abundant, minuteness humanity / versa humanity theme, profound philosophy thought and original audio-visual language. Especially his later stage movies: The Decalogue, The Double LifeofVeronique, Three Colours: Blue, White, Red demonstrate the characteristics of "author movie" perfectly even more.His movies with philosophy thought have reflected contemporary Polish and European actual life. He used to proceed from social phenomenon or moral standard that people turn a blind eye to, choose an unique visual angle, tell a story which is close to a black humor, cause people to think about reality, and form new concept and consciousness. He investigated mankind's concealed soul and complicated heart with extremely simple, brief movie recounts, paid close attention to the ethics problems which overstep consciousness appearance and ultimate problems of mankind's soul which can't be avoided, his self- examined sight always surmounted politics, religion and sociology aspects, watching deeply at the damaged individual destinies of the modern society.He blended consummate photography, documentary tactics, philosophic thought and calm drawing to the movie recounts, enable audiences not only to feel his intelligent insight but also to realize his romantic and mysterious style; On his inside stylized stormy, structure of the lens has been passed meticulous montage, cooperated with handles of color and detail which extremely full of performance dint. At last, which appeared in front of us are Kieslowski's movies that combined two kinds of different image style (documentary doctrine and performance doctrine) together perfectly.
