Malocclusion is the developmental dentofacial anomaly,which not only affects chewing function of patients,but also impairs the facial esthetics, and further, has side effects on patients' psychology. During the treatment , some adult patients were found that they could not face their problem properly. Some patients were unsatisfied with the results ,though the operations were very successful technically. Personality is one of the most important psychological characteristics, which is demonstrated by the mode of adaptation to people,to oneself or to the environment. Personality can not be divided into good or bad, however, people with different personalities will have different response or different intensity of response when facing the same stimulation, and achieve the different evaluation of the same thing. Therefore, it seems to be very important that we study personalities of patients undergoing surgical orthodontics and predict their postoperation satisfaction.
