ObjectiveThis thesis was to examine DSM-5 multidimensional traits model in Chinese samples,as measured with the Personality Inventory for DSM-5(PID-5).MethodThis paper proceeded two rounds of testing. In first test,we translated PID-5,and applied it to undergraduates in Nanjing XiaoZhuang College,Nanjing Medical University and Nanjing Audit University with SCID-? questionnaire.Repeating PID-5 measurement after two weeks.Using item analysis, reliability inspection and exploratory factor analysis to examine the reliability and validity of PID-5 and deleted inappropriate projects into revised PID-5.In the second round, with the principle of convenience sampling, the author applied PID-5,SCID-II and PDQ-4+ to undergraduates in Nanjing Audit University and inpatients diagnosed with depression in medical psychology department of Nanjing brain hospital.Repeating PID-5 measurement after two weeks.Using reliability analysis, correlation test and confirmatory factor analysis to examine reliability and validity of PID-5 in Chinese samplesResults1.The results of item analysis showed that 25 traits and 5 dimensions had significant relationship(the correlation coefficient was between 0.404 and 0.929),and 220 items(except for item 3 and item 37 et al)had significant relationship with 25 traits, and 220 items(except for item 96 and item 97 et al)had significant relationship with 5 dimensions.2.The internal consistency reliability coefficient of second round text and first round text, which was deleted low contribution items, was both at the level of 0.70.3.The criterion validity inspection results showed that the 25 traits and 5 dimensions had different degree of correlation with personality disorders in SCID-II and PDQ-4+.4.Exploratory factor analysis showed that 220 items can extract 25 factors, and 25 traits can extract 5 factors.Which was consistent with DSM-5 multidimensional traits model.5.Confirmatory factor analysis showed that 25 traits and 5 dimensions model's comparative fit index(CFI)was 0.910.items and 25 traits model's comparative fit index was within the acceptable range. All of this showed DSM-5 multidimensional traits model had good structure validity.6.The scores of PID-5 in patients with depression were significantly lower than the normal group's in the terms of dimensions(such as negative affectivity)and traits(such as emotional lability).7.The traits in DSM-5 multidimensional traits model had gender differences. The scores of PID-5(such as detachment dimension and hostility trait)in male were significantly higher than in female.8.Whether or not the one-child,family type, family emotional atmosphere, family intimate degree and multidimensional traits model existed significant correlation.Conclusion1.Personality Inventory for DSM-5(PID-5)has good reliability and validity in Chinese samples.2.Personality Inventory for DSM-5(PID-5)can predict the depression's pathological personality traits effectively.3.Personality Inventory for DSM-5(PID-5)has gender differences. And significant correlation with early environment suggested early environment by influencing the pathological personality traits to influence the formation of personality disorder.
