Postmodernism Perspective On Research Of Creativity

Modernism is a kind of monism philosophy based on rationalism. It promotes the liberation of people, the development of science, the richness of material. However, it also brings spirit emptiness, nature decharming, ecology worsening and other crises. postmodernism is a philosophical thought that aims at tackling the crises of modernism . It criticizes and rethink modernity , objects to essentialism, spurns dualistic logic, opposes foundationism, advocates multiform. And postmodernism makes us deeply think over not only the ideas which appeared from the Renaissance, especially from the Enlightenment, but also the process of modernization. As far as the thinking is concerned, postmodernism gives us a theory tool to rethink the accustomed ideas. Research on creativity mainly concerns creative person, creative process, creative products and creative environments. We have mostly carried out the research on creativity in the background of modernism, and achieved much. Meanwhile, it is impossible for us to avoid the deficiency of the modernism. Postmodernism can help us critically reflect on the creativity theories, deconstruct some creative ideas and tendency of modernism, open out the creative person, the creative process and the creative products which has neglected by modernism, and the postmodernism picture of creativity theories based on postmodernism is drawn.
