Content: Jameson' s study of postmodernism contains substantial content and penetrating analysis, covering most aspects of postmodernism. His theory is developing with the passage of time and is having a profound impact in the field. This paper attempts to conduct a systematic analysis on Jameson' s critical theory of postmodernism culture and make some comments on it from the following six aspects: 1, of the progress of Jameson s ideology, offering a general view of the theory and its formation. 2, on his theory of three cultural forms and an analysis on how he applies the cultural realism, modernism and postmodernism to market capitalism, monopoly capitalism and late capitalism. 3, of Jameson' s critical theory of postmodernist culture as shown in the field of postmodernist literature, which holds that the basic features of postmodernist culture are to clear up all the meanings, value and depth. 4, into the context of the formation of his critical theory of postmodernist culture. 5, of the impact of Jameson' s theory on Chinese academic circles. 6, on Jameson's critical of postmodernist culture. This paper holds that the starting point for his critical theory of postmodernist culture is to reflect on and criticize the culture of the late capitalism and that the theoretical basis of his thinking is Marxism. He adheres to the Marxist critical stand most of the time while presenting new interpretations of Marxism.
