| Primitive rock art 10,000-40,000 years ago, in today's view, possesses important aesthetics value besides its social value. The artistic charm of primitive rock art, displayed of course is its beautiful formal ,But the greater importance is the spirit contained in art of the rock. It reflects human and natural harmony unity ; It is an important enlightenment which is not limited by utility and rule -- "the imagination of the freedom" to western modem art at the beginning of the 20th century.The foundation of western modem art, for instance, Picasso , Kelly , Miro ,etc. were influence by primitive art. They draw nutrition from it, that aroused their inspirations of creation. Through the untiring efforts of these artistic revolutionary pioneer and seekers, the thoughts of various kinds of modem arts and method had constantly influenced the each field of painting , sculpture , building and art design of the same period, especially a more representative design school rising at the beginning of the 20th century -- conceptual-image, conceptual-image has very close relations to modem artistic sport. Cubism , symbolism , futurism as well as surrealism ,and a lot of successful experience in schools applied to the graphic design were form a fusion of art and design.Primitive rock with pure beauty, rich vitality displayed the artistic charm of unify in nature and harmony. These can be found in modem western art and applied extensively in art and design. Then, what makes the unity between primitive rock art and modem design across the time and distance of space? This is because of returning paces in art. The paces are a kind of trend to return. It does not get back to the origin, but returns from higher level. The paces walk one very heavy, helical circle that rises, gets back to the original place from a new height.The artistic spirit of the Chuang-tzu is a marrow of Chinese art spirit. He thought, people should give up utility idea of gain and loss and could hold realm of universe and world with quiet heart. So, on different time and space, they reached the unity.Creative thesis:1, The research on rock has implemented from the archaeological category all the time, the aesthetics value to it is being just slightly described . This thesis has investigated and described aesthetics value of the rock and social value which was contained in terms of art.2,The spirit contained in art of the rock has important influence on modern art in the west, and modern western art has influenced the modern art design deeply. Up to now ,western designers have absorbed the inspiration from primitive art also. We can say rock art has influenced modern art design indirectly as well as directly at the same time. The theory that the design had been influenced by modern western art has much discussion, but it has not researched into the origin, —a relation between modern art design and art of human Childhood. The thesis has probed into and analyzed the reason that this phenomenon had emerged in this respect.3, The thesis discusses the connection between Chinese art spirit and rock art spirit as well as western famous Art theory based on the theory of play.
