A Study On The Influence Of Character' Stroke Number And Construction Way On Moderate Mental Retarded Students' Perception Of Chinese Character

Moderate mental retarded students' educational development is lower, so there are many problems. Among all these problems, Chinese character teaching for moderate mental retarded students is very important and difficult. But Chinese characters' perception is necessary .Studies have shown that characteristic of moderate mental retarded students had influence on the perception of Chinese character, such as their worse sensation, smaller memory capacity , worse thinking ability .But there is no study about how these characteristic of these students impact the perception of Chinese character. The lack of the study leads to blindness in teaching. This study analyzed present conditions and exiting problems about perception of Chinese character. Then due to the significance and confusion about influence of Chinese character' stroke number and construction way on the perception of Chinese character and the lack of the study, this study researched how Chinese character' stroke number and construction way impact perception of Chinese character.Results showed that : firstly, stroke number had different influence on the perception of Chinese character on different conditions; secondly, construction way also had important influence on the perception of Chinese character; thirdly, stroke number had different influence on the construction way on different conditions; fourthly, familiar was a factor that influent the perception of Chinese character.The study analyzed how stroke number and construction way affected perception of Chinese character and how stroke number affected construction way. Then the study tried to explain the internal processing mechanism how Chinese character' stroke number and construction way impact moderate mental retarded students' perception of Chinese character using existing theories .Lastly, the study provided teaching suggestion.
