Current Situation Of Korean Teenagers Studying Chinese In Shanghai

More and more Korean students have been studying Chinese in Shanghai these years, especially the teenagers. Teenagers are very different from adults when they learn Chinese as a second language. Adults were the main targets in teaching Chinese as second language in the past, so the way of teaching teenagers should be different from the way of teaching adults. But for Chinese schools lack the experience of teaching teenagers; there are many problems in teaching and taking care of them. This paper focuses on the current situations about the Korean teenagers in Shanghai. Many problems, such as teenagers' psychology, living condition in China, Chinese schools' management, teachers' qualification, text books and so on, are discovered during the investigation of questionnaire. The paper also gives comments to the results of the questionnaire and then offers some suggestions on how to solve those problems.The purpose of the paper is to offer help to Korean education organizations. Try to attract their attention to know the real situation of the teenager students in China. The writer also hopes that Chinese schools improve their managements and appoint professional teachers to teaching foreigner students. The textbooks that designed for teenagers should be compiled.
