The Korean War broke out in June.25.1950 and ended July.27.1953. But the negotiation for captive problem lasted more than one year. This text, for many angles, tries to analyze synthetically the reasons that captive problem led that The Korean War had not ceased, and process that led to cease fire.If both sides conformed to relative treaty of Geneva convention, captive problem would be easy to be solved . Because of the need of ideology, America used captive arm . America hoped many captives didn't like coming back, by it America propagated that countries led by the Communist Party wars arbitrarily, and Communism was a system that didn't respect mankind free and dignity. So America put forward voluntary disbanding principle according to captive's intention. As China asked America to disbanding the captives according to relative treaty of Geneva convention. The negotiation came into stalemate .In order that America let China and Korean yield in captive problem, America pressed military by bombing North Korean and put forward final standpoint of the negotiation, or halted the negotiation. China considered that China could not yield the America's press. China decided to act according to itself idea. China standpoint was held out by Soviet the negotiation halted in October ,8 ,1952.With Eisenhower taking America president, Eisenhower thought The Korean War could not keep without deadline , and hoped to solved present stalemate by a large scale military campaign. China had estimated Eisenhower might process final military venture , China was active in being ready for military and decided to proceed the war.
