A Study Of Figure Of Inscriptions On Ancient Bronzes And Dating Of Bronze Vessels Of The Forepart Of The Western Zhou Period

The research of bronze vessels in western zhou dynasty have made a great progress in 20th century and as the system of bronze ware was set up by stages,lots of professors have written such kind of books. At the same time , many scholars have research the inscriptions on ancient bronze and six fields came into being: historiography research,ancient writing research, dating technique research,arrangement books of inscriptions on ancient bronze ,method of textual research , appraisal of bronze vessels and art handwriting research.There is still not the deep research for development of font style and few people research the bronze vessels by stages with the regularity of development of font style.This article is based on aboundunt of inscriptions on ancient bronze in western zhou dynasty and analyses the regularity of development of font style deeply in early western zhou dynasty.The article combines the font style of inscriptions on ancient bronze .shapes of bronze vessels and situation when excavating together and rethinking of the bronze vessels' era which disputed by a lot of professors.I hope to consummate the system of bronze ware by stages and make development of font style clearly.The thesis made the research into the figure of inscriptions on ancient bronzes and dating of bronze vessels from the following five aspects.Firstly,in this part the reason for the topic, the significance for the study and the current research situations were given.Secondly,in this part theory and methodology of was talked about,the author gave theorical explanation for ."The method of analyzing development of font style through their types and styles ".Thirdly, In this chapter, the author will investigate the regularity of development of font style deeply in early western zhou dynasty according to the theory of section II and the principle of method to regularity of development of font style.First of all,combining with the character structure and distribution of inscriptions on ancient bronze,I arrange the process about development of font style by stages through analysing different character of inscriptions on ancient bronze and their relationships and believe there are two styles of inscriptions on ancient bronze in early Western Zhou...
