The Collection And Research Of Bronze Wares’ Dating In Western Zhou Dynasty

Based on the bronzes of Western Zhou Dynasty collected form <The Collection of Inscriptions on Bronzes in Yin&Zhou>,<Recently Collection of Inscriptions on Bronzes in Yin&Zhou>and some bronzes which were found nearly,and compelled different research results, this thesis provide a convenient way to retrieval when people do the research. Besides collecting the literature, at thelast part this thesis also summarizes the reasons why scholars have different opinions and the main ways of their research.This thesis has three chapters.The first chapter is an introduction about the background of bronze datingresearch status from the past to nowadays and the significance of the subjectchoosing, and also give a description of how the second chapter arranged.The second chapter is the collection of different opinions on the bronzesdating which is also the main part of this thesis, the collection was divided inthree parts by the sequence of the time.The third part is the summaries of methods which were mainly used by scholars on bronzes dating and the reasons that generate the different opinions.In the end of the thesis are the references and full names of books whichuse shortened form in the second chapter.
