Analyse Shimaoshizhuanshu Written By Chenhuan

Chenhuan spent almost thirty years in writing Shimaoshizhuanshu. Shimaoshizhuanshu is a masterpiece after ages' preparation. It is favorably reviewed by the scholars of later generations. The essay analyses Shimaoshizhuan from angles of exegesis and collation, furthermore sums up both the contents of Shimaoshizhuanshu and the methods in the way Chenhuan researched Maozhuan. The author expects that the essay will be helpful to the deep investigation of Chinese language in traditional literature.The first chapter: the Exegesis of Shimaoshizhuanshu. First, the paper sums up the style of Maozhuan illustrated by Chenhuan. Chenhuan mainly interpreted the style of Maozhuan, including the style of explaining word and the style of explaining article. The style of explaining word mainly includes the way of explaining ancient word by using today word, the way of explaining word by "shengxun", etc. The author divides these styles into six sorts from different angles. The style of explaining article includes the style of explaining sentences, the style of explaining chapter and the style of explaining the rhetoric "xing".Subsequently, Chenshi studied Maoshi by way of "shenxun". He fully clarified the tongjia in Maozhuan. There are two kinds:On the one hand, Chenhuan summarized two ways by which Maoshi explained tongjia: One way is using the original words to explain the interchangeability of words, the other way is directly using the meaning of the original words to explain the interchangeability of words.
