| Perceptual constancy is one fundamental ability for people to adapt the world. When environment conditions change, it can be agent for people's perception of integration of action and skill control with providing people constant characteristic information, such as distance, direction and color etc.. Color constancy refers to people can produce a stable mental tendency to perceptual representation of object color when illumination conditions change. People can overcome the disturbance of changes in the light source to keep perceptual constancy on object colors. The phenomenon of color constancy has been a important subject in studies of perception and has been well recognized by psychologist and physiologist. Since 1807 T.Young first described the phenomenon of color constancy, research on color constancy has already contained a 200 years' history. It came through a process of " experience describing —theories model —performance experiment —laboratory precision measuring". The earlier researches on color constancy focus on exploring the degree of color constancy in different light source. Researchers often denote the degree of color constancy with mathematics coefficient having particular meaning by color matches. With the progress in investigating on mechanism of color constancy, theories of color constancy appeared. The representative and famous theories in research history of color constancy include: coefficient theory (V.J.Kries,1905), computation theory (E.H.Land,1977,1983,1986), Octant model (R.Mausfeld& R.Niederee, 1993). Most earlier experiments of color constancy were performance experiment, in which few accurate calculation method was used to measure the change in color constancy. There are precise experiments based on colorimetric methods with the advance in theories of color constancy. In the experiment Munsell color system was used on Object surface generally. Until artificial light source appeared, there are only the nature light source can be adopted for restrict in technique, then researchers begin to broadly adopt the CIE standard illuminates in experiments. However, bring the CIE standard illuminate and Munsell color chips as stimulate into the experiments also make considerable difficulties, such as: 1.The obtaining of standard illuminates and surface is very difficult ,and the price is costly . 2.It is inconvenience to modulate and manipulate variable in the experiment. 3.The record of the every experiment result must depend on instrumental diagraph, such as a photometer . Today, researchers are trying to find some new methods with more simpleness. Since the computer three-dimensional technique appeared, it has been used broadly in the realms of advertisement, movie, animation creation, indoors decorate, and so on. The is so perfect that it can instead of the true instance. Combine the software and psychological statistics together should be used in research on color constancy. Result from experiment 1show that there is not significant difference on performance in color distinguishing between two experimental designs with different light sources. It indicates that colorconstancy existed in 30 subjects under 5 colors test conditions, confirming the experimental assumption, as well as the feasibility of using the computer simulating instead of the true instance in research on color constancy. Color constancy depend on not only the factors of environment illuminate, reflectance in object surface, sensitivity of vision sense organ etc., but also the consciousnesses activity in high level. It is determined by the high sequential unify among factors of environment information, human visual system and human consciousnesses in high level, which has been supported by a lot of experiments results. In recent years, more and more scholars begin to focus on the influence path of high level consciousnesses on color constancy. However, it still in a primary investigate stage and need a more experimental exploring, particularly when it concerns the function and infection mechanism of high-level consciousnesses activity, such as perception experience, memory, decision etc. Furthermore, the result also indicate that color constancy appeared not only when the reappeared objects are same with the original objects, but also when they are different. Namely, the difference between the reappeared objects and the original objects does not affect subjects'color constancy, this is consistent with the experimental assumption. There is not find a significant correlation between preferable colors and color constancy in the correlative investigation. So the experimental assumption that there is a negative correlation between preferable colors and color constancy was not proved, and the confirmation of the relation between them need a more experimental investigation.
