Ever since the 1960s when stylistics was established as an independent modern academic discipline, stylistics has always been a focus of discussion by many scholars. It is the truth that most of the scholars like Nash, Spitzer, Liu Shisheng, Wang Zuoliang and Qin Xiubai, etc attach great importance to literary stylistics concerning the literary text, while dramatic stylistics concerning the dramatic text has been treated rather unfairly. Dramatic stylistics, one branch of literary stylistics, differs greatly from literary stylistics though they have a lot of common grounds, which makes the literary stylistic analysis of the dramatic text different from that of the general literary text though the 2 kinds of analyses have a lot in common. Some scholars like Yu Dongming, Li Huadong, Wang Hong and Yang Xueyan, etc adopted the pragmatic approach and the conversational analytical approach to probe into dramatic stylistics concerning the dramatic text, nevertheless, a real analytical model has not been established yet. This dissertation, on the basis of the stylistic theory, the pragmatic theory and conversational analysis theory, and the drama theory, aims to explore and establish 'The Literary Stylistic Analytical Model of the Dramatic Text' (for terminological ease, the Model is called elsewhere) to provide a rather satisfactory solution to the problem.The dissertation consists of four chapters.
