Hequ folk is a live sediment what Hequ woking people have experienced, is also the agglutinate condensed several generations sing. Its characters of remote , simple and lifelike is still a baptism of spirit to our people living in new era. The Hequ folk songs have described natural landscape and political geography of the loess plateau , have shown clothing, food, lodging and transportation, native custom , emotion of people there, among which contain exhaustive and vivid folk customs. It is one real social folk custom history of people in the northwest of Shanxi surviving and multiplying.Hequ folk custom is a sediment of people history in Hequ, is the most important part of society culture and region character about Hequ. Many parts of Hequ folk custom relate with Hequ folk song, and the folk song play an important role in every fields of society culture.Studying Hequ folk song with folklore way is the call of rich Hequ folk custom for us to illuminate and interpret, is also a new try to further and widen the folk song study. It not only help us make a deeper known but also have a good contribution to learn folk song and think how to find a new way based on traditional method about current folk song study.
