The cyberspace culture as a crucial component of cyberspace culture thathas been growing into a brand new and appealing spectacle throughout China, is not only being hailed as a phenomenon, but also a valuable help for studying cyberspace culture. Therefore it would be helpful that if we manage to research the Chinese cyberspace literature in theory. What is more, the research will enable us to interpret and predict what will come next. The thesis the culture phenomenon paper examines the conception of cyberspace literature and its characteristic and future mainly based on the examples of Chinese cyberspace. The paper falls into four parts.â…  Notion analysis. This part aims at defining the cyberspace literature based on comparing and analyzing the five popular "definitions of cyberspace literature " as follows: literature is the digitalized writing of literary works which are intended to spread throughout the cyberspace by means of multi-media and interactive web. The definition describes its characteristics such as writing styles, spreading media and interacting between writers and readers. In a word, the hyper-narration along with the multi-media-narration begins to come into being helping the cyberspace literature take on an entirely new and attractive form.â…¡ First and foremost we should examine the differences between the cyberspace literature and the traditional literature. The distinction between them lies in "writing in cyberspace" rather than literature itself. That's to say, it is the spreading medium "cyberspace" that makes the difference.â…¢ As a type of literature, the essence of cyberspace literature is in pursuit of freedom. It is that the digitalized technology enables cyberspace literature to spread quickly and widely far more than what the traditionalliterature can do. The cyberspace writers are able to write at their free will which has surely brought freshness to the traditions of literature.IV Problems of cyberspace literature in present China, its causes and discussions on its future, as follows: large quantities v.s poor quality; free will v.s limited topics; technological advantages v.s monotonousness; writers'enthusiasm v.s critics'silence; considering their writings as being totally different v.s managing to make traditional literature as their end. Still, we are holding firm belief that cyberspace literature will be going further than the traditional one if the technology and art can be merged perfectly.
