Nowadaysthe research of ShenCongwen can't escape from the dual-opposite model that it stands between the City and the Xiangxi , the region and modernity, the imagination of nation and the race thinks .It can't be denied that there always cxsits inherent tensions of the contradiction in his whole artistic process of the text,which maybe the essential reason of the complexity of ShenCongwen's written fictions. From country to city, from "Xiangxi"(West Hunan)to Shanghai and Beijing, from a common soldier to a university professor ,the editor in chief of Ta Kung Pao, ShenCongwen makes himself in multiple historic conditionsNevertheless, So what I pay attention to is that how he actually treat these totally different worth systems ? As a wild country man how does he melt himself into the progress of modernization . My research is base on his novel's polyphonic character and I try to analyze further how he improved his aesthetic skills under the double cultural ground of the big cities and "Xiangxi",including his unique cultural position.The range of my study in this paper is the novels of ShenCongwen.And special emphasis is laid on the explanations and analysis of narratology and psychology.This article start with his novel's language, narrative structure, the author's Writing Techniques in psychology etc,trying to study how ShenCongwen's unique style evolved,developed and changed ,thus to totally grasp the features of the author's style and the technique of his narration and then delineating the art connotation,values and significance of his novels.
