A Study On Adolescence's Attachment Developement Features And It's Relationship With School Adjustment

This study measured 555 middle school students from junior I to senior III, using the attachment scale developed by WangLi, The social Anxiety Subscale of the Self—Consciousness Scale, The Study Ability Questionnaire, The Scale of students' behavior in school and Behavior Disorders Teacher Rating Scale developed by the author. The study aims to analyse the adolescence' s attachment distribution and features, to probe into the relationship between The Famility Attachment and The Friend Attachment, and to find out whether The adolescence' s attachment influence their School Adjustment.The result based on the test of 555 students shows that:1. In the general distribution, the percent of Securely Attached both in Famility Attachment and in Friend Attachment is. higher than any other styles.2. The adolescence' s scores both in Anxiety and in Proximity don' t chang with the rising of grades.3. Famility Attachment and Friend Attachment aren' t independent completely. Although they are independent relatively, their styles can also transfer, and the variance still exist.4. The Securely attached' s School Adjustment is superior to the unsecure. As far as the School Adjustment, the Dimissing Style is only inferior to the Secure Style.5. Attachment can partly forecast the School Adjustment and the friend anxiety has greatest contribution to the Shool Adjustment. Two factors of Familty Attachment still take their effect.
