Research On The Reports Of The Chinese Civil War Of Chosun Daily During The Special Period From The Establishment Of The Republic Of Korea To The Establishment Of New China

Chosun Daily has carried on frequent and detailed reports on the Chinese civil war during the period between the establishments of ROK and the new China. This article focuses on those reports from these three aspects: the establishment of the new China, the crumble of Nationalist Party in the mainland and Korean intelligentsia's understandings of the Chinese civil war.The article discusses the above problem through 6 sections. In the introduoti on, we will discuss the research motivation, aim, range and methods. Chapter 1 i ntroduces the history of Chosun Daily. At present, Chosun Daily is known to all, and it has the greatest circulation in Korea. Although the newspaper has the great est amount of readers, many people hold negative attitude to it. To understand it, firstly, you should know the history of its development and the effect which the h istory brought to her. Section 1 reviews the development history of the newspape r. The Liberation Period which last 5 years, from the recovery of Korea(August 1 5~th 1945) to the eve of the Korea War(June 25th 1950), is a historic period in Rep ublic of Korea. The article focuses on the color of the newspaper in the period. S ection 2 summarizes the color of Chosun Daily during the Liberation Period.Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4 have the same structure. Chapter 2 reviews the report of Chosun Daily upon armed conflicts between Nationalist Party and Communist Party. August 15~th 1948, the government of ROK established,meanwhile Korean Peninsula still wasn't united together. Chinese Communist Party was dominant in the Chinese civil war. Since China is the neighboring country of Korea, Korean can obtain the continual and detailed news about Chinese civil war through Chosun Daily. Section 1 of Chapter 2 reviews the report which in nowadays is ludicrous for us. Section 2 lists related editorial. Section 3 draws a conclusion of Chapter 2. Chapter 3 reviews the report on the amicable negotiation in Peking, First Section of this Chapter recites the desire for peace of Chinese, a rumor about the amicable negotiation between Nationalist Party and Communist Party, and the forecast gave by ROK President Li Seung-Man about the negotiation. Section 2 and Section 3 also lists related editorial and reach a conclusion of this Chapter. Chapter 4 lists related report about Pacific Union and the meeting between Chiang Kai-shek and Li Seung-Man. Under the situation that China Communist Party was about to liberate the mainland and U.S Army would withdraw the troops staying in South Korea, Chiang Kai-shek and Li Seung-Man still focused on anti-communist defense group such as NATO and held two meetings, one was between Chiang Kai-shek and Li Seung-Man, another was between Chiang Kai-shek and Elpidio Qutrino.
