The discourse teaching is the key part of the teaching of CSL. This article makes a comprehensive survey on the discourse teaching.There are four parts of this article. In the first part there is a summary on the research of discourse teaching and a direction of the topic of this paper.The second part introduces the Grammatical Metaphor Theory and reviews the achievements on the study of grammatical metaphor in China since the 1990s.The third part is very important. In this part, the paper analyzes discourse teaching on senior stage by using the Grammatical Metaphor Theory.The last part is a summary of the whole article.
