The case of "wolf man" is one of the most classic psychoanalytic cases of Freud, although there hasn't been the Chinese version yet. The author makes the whole text's translation the base for this study, on which he makes appropriate commendatory. This is a important basal work for the research of psychoanalysis and a great reference for the clinic work of psychoanalysis, psychological counseling and psychotherapy. This case lied in the crucial stage between the first topography and the second topography. According to this paper, this case had great influence to the development of Freud's thought. Meanwhile, Freud had absorbed some production of Adler, Jung and so on. So he had some deeper creative ideas on the understanding to the case itself. As to the material symptom and characteristic of the case, the author chooses primal scene and the relationships with the female for his emphases of this study. The authenticity of the primal scene is always disputable. But whatever is it a real experience or a projection from phantasy, it can play a crucial role in the process of psychoanalysis. It's a important start of the patient's mental life or a condensation of his unconscious complex. It leads the analysis into lower strata and provides great help to the relieving of patient's symptom. The relationships with the female have more than one characteristic. The relationship with his mother is the most important. On this basis, the patient had developed the relationships with other females in his infancy. And under the integrated influence, he had formed his specific way of object-choice.
