Tang' philosophical thoughts digest many Buddhism knowledge; especially the School of Huayan has a profound influence upon Tang's thoughts. The famous philosopher Lao Siguang prefered Tang's thought as the Huayan philosophy. Besides, Tang has his unique discovery about the development process of Chinese Buddhism thoughts.This paper trys to analyze the origin relationship between Tang's thoughts and the Buddhism School of Huayan, center around the Tang Junyi's Horizons of the Mind. And this paper hold the idea that, in the first, Tang used the Buddhism knowledge as the material for the building of the Chinese philosophical history system, and those content illuminated Tang's unique viewpoint, was consisted as an important component in his system: the researches about Buddhism, especially the master Fazang of the Huayan School, made the congenial work for the various contradiction by a deepest andprofoundest reason, and hence, it bear certainly a forgive mind by no hindrance with the dissertation of epitomizing the Chinese Buddhism development. And second, Tang made use of the purpose and methods refined from the Huayan, achieved a great building work of his philosophical system -—the Nine Horizons of the Mind. Again, this paper discussed and researched the reason why Tang discarded the Buddhism and turned over to the Confucian at last, the impact and the enlightening in Tang's thought that digested the philosophical thoughts of the School of Huayan. The concrete content as following:In the first chapter, I disserted the spirit developmental process of Tang's philosophical thoughts. This paper analyzed the shaping process of Tang's thoughts by three dynamic mind causes in his spirit growth, and distinctively discussed his misery thoughts, which illuminate the timely nature in his philosophical thoughts.And in the second chapter, I discussed the general relationship between Tang and Buddhism. I detailed the cause of his discarding the Buddhism and turning over to the Confucianism, and the character of his system using the Buddhism as material.In the third chapter, I discussed the relationship between Tang and the School of Huayan, analyzed Tang's dissertation about the way which Fazang run-through the Wisdom and the Weishi Buddhism thoughts, and researched .the cause that why Tang fall in love the Buddhism School of Huayan.And in the follow two chapters, I discussed the impacts of the School of Huayan in Tang's Horizons of the Mind, it spread from three aspects, the first is the running-through purpose and the fusing methods, in which I believed that it was Tang's thought way to build his theory. The second is the comparison between the Four Fajie and Tang's Horizons of the Mind, and the last I discuss the impacts of the Huayan's doctrinal classification to Tang's Horizons of the Mind.And in the last chapter, I discussed the modal reveal meaning in Tang's thoughts system.On all account, this paper believes there is a profound congenial relationship between Tang and Huayan philosophical thoughts.
