Research On Tang Junyi’s "Sense" Theory

Tang Junyi is one of the main representatives of modern Neo-Confucianism.He took it as his duty to integrate various thoughts and carry forward Chinese excellent traditional culture all his life.Tang Junyi’s philosophical thought is rich in rational and perceptual characteristics,and the theory of "feeling" is the core content of the thought of "nine realms of mind".It is of great significance to explore and study the modern value contained in the theory of "feeling"."Sense",as a philosophical category,is the most direct and basic cognitive way in which man and all things in the universe interact with each other.Explore and clarify the concept of "sense" and related theoretical basis.Through understanding and mastering the basic semantics and characteristics of "sense","sense" is initially a sense of senses,which is a superficial understanding.At the same time,Tang Junyi inherited the perceptual "sense" in the traditional concepts of Chinese Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism,and imitated the rational "sense" in western philosophy.Inspired by the two,he interpreted the nine realms of the soul with the theory of "sense".Since then,the connotation of "feeling" theory has been expanded here in Tang Junyi.On the basis of understanding and mastering the basic concept of "sense",this paper further analyzes its basic direction,body-function structure and its blending with the nine realms of mind.The universal nature of sensory experience of "feeling" makes it intersect with the spiritual realm and life existence through the structure of body and use.In the objective,subjective and super-subjective objective realm,the soul carries out the sense of things and self,self and man through "feeling",reflecting the internal relationship with the nine realms.Starting from the philosophical category of "sense",this paper summarizes its modern value.The thought of "sense" highlights the characteristics of intuitive,experiential and practical intuitionism methodology in Chinese philosophy;It reflects the life philosophy of Chinese philosophy,which pays attention to experience,focusing on practicing the meaning of life,settling the value of life and perfecting ideal personality;Adhere to the ideological program of "returning to the original and opening up new ones",stick to the Confucian philosophical tradition,integrate the scientific and rational spirit and promote the modernization and transformation of Chinese philosophy.
