Prostitute phenomenon is the existence that can't be ignored in the literature history, however the attention received is not so high as expected. The prostitutes, standing a position supposed by upper speakers, fail to emit their own sounds.The appearance of the prostitute novels of Late Qing has offered a completely new cognitive space. This paper adopting the historical materialism thought, analyze the spiritual content, cultural value and aesthetic effect of these novels dialectically and scientifically. Emphasizing on the development of man narrative subject of Late Qing, explore the other living state and behavior of edge women. In city culture initial stage of modernity sprouting and citizen society that is strengthening constantly, the brothels have shown the common customs various aspects of specific historical period. People's identity and social status are encoded again in front of the capital, with the delicate psychological shifting from "valuing justice more than business". As a result of interests focused value system because coming into being, the status of prostitute became important, who might changing their own destinies through their active resistance. In a word, the Late Qing brothels offer us a unique perspective to appreciate all sorts wonders taking place in modernity.
