[Objective] Through the practical intervention based on the sociopsychological analysis of the delinquent juvenile, this research is aimed at improving their sociopsychological health, and helping them be accepted by the society and serve the society. Operable and duplicable intervention models are proposed to provide the innovative concept, strategy and method for the rehabilitation of the delinquent juveniles.[Methods] First, the sociopsychological analysis of the delinquent juvenile is carried out. This process included the investigation by using the questionnaires of their background, the scales for their mental health: Symptom Checklist 90 (SCL-90) and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), the interview to the police and the delinquent juveniles. Second, the emphases and contents based on the assessment should be found. The intervention project should be set down also. Then the intervention had been implemented for a long time. Third, the evaluation had been taken to evaluate the effects of this intervention.[Results]1. Before the intervention, mental health of the delinquent juveniles was not as good as that of the normal juveniles. Their mental problems mainly included hostility, interpersonal sensitivity, depression and anxiety etc.2. Their mothers were well educated, their parents were impartial and they had more intimates, all these above were protective factors for mental health of the delinquent juveniles. They had poor capability of communication and kept in touch with obscene things frequently, such as the journals, the VCD and the DVD etc. These two factors were risky factors for them.3. The emphases and contents of the intervention: to improve the capability of communication, encourage them make more intimates etc.4. The intervention had efficient obverse effects on correcting mental problems of the delinquent juveniles which included obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, paranoid ideation and psychopathy (P<0.05).5. This research indicated the intervention model for the delinquent juveniles, which focused on communicating, making intimates and shortening the mental distance.[Conclusion] The proactive intervention based on sociopsychological analysis ensured efficient intervention. This intervention model can validly correct the mental problems of the delinquent juveniles and should be desseminated.
