Objective:Understand the mental health literacy level,coping style and the status quo of mental sub-health of middle school students in Guizhou Province,take mental health literacy as health knowledge,coping style as health behavior and mental sub-health as health outcome,establish a structural equation model to explore the intrinsic quantitative relationship between mental health literacy and mental sub-health,and at the same time carry out group psychological counseling intervention experiment of mental health of middle school students based on the theory of mental health literacy,so as to provide scientific and empirical basis for the prevention and treatment of mental sub-health of middle school students,comprehensively improve their mental health literacy level and mental health.Methods:(1)1,021 middle school students in Bijie City,Guizhou Province were randomly selected by multi-stage stratified cluster sampling,and the applicability of Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire to middle school students was tested by means of item analysis,reliability analysis,exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.(2)3,664 middle school students in Guiyang,Anshun and Bijie,Guizhou Province were randomly selected by multi-stage stratified cluster sampling.The mental health literacy questionnaire,multi-dimensional sub-health assessment questionnaire for adolescents and simple coping style scale obtained in study 1 were used to conduct a questionnaire survey,and the structural equation model was established.(3)A total of 84 students from two classes of a middle school in Bijie City,Guizhou Province were selected by cluster sampling method,and the experimental group and the control group were designed in parallel.The experimental group was given group psychological counseling intervention for 6 times,each time for 120 minutes,while the control group did not intervene.After the intervention,the two groups were analyzed by questionnaire.Results:Study 1: The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the overall internal consistency of the mental health literacy questionnaire is 0.843,the internal consistency of each dimension Cronbach’s α is 0.667~ 0.758,the sphericity test result of Bartlett isχ2=6218.517,df=1653,P=0.000,KMO=0.830,and the cumulative contribution rate of variance is 55.088%,the factor load of each item is greater than 0.4,and the reliability and validity of the mental health literacy questionnaire are good.Study 2: The average total score of mental health literacy of middle school students in Guizhou province is 31.97±8.26,and the correct answer rate is 53.24%.Variables such as gender,grade,household registration,school location,father’s education level,mental health teacher,mental health service,mental health knowledge,whether teachers attach importance to students’ mental health and so on significantly affect the mental health literacy level of middle school students(P<0.05).The detection rate of mental sub-health symptoms of middle school students in Guizhou Province is 69.1%.Low age,rural schools,high average monthly income of families and parents’ neglect are risk factors of mental sub-health symptoms of middle school students(P<0.05).Mental health literacy can directly predict mental sub-health,and it can also indirectly predict mental sub-health through the mediation of positive or negative coping.Study 3: After the intervention,the mental health literacy and positive coping of the experimental group were significantly improved(P < 0.05),while the negative coping and mental sub-health symptoms were significantly reduced(P < 0.05);In the control group,without intervention,mental health literacy,positive coping,negative coping and mental sub-health were significantly changed(P > 0.05).Conclusions:The Mental Health Literacy Questionnaire compiled by Wu Jue,Zhu Xu and others is suitable for middle school students after revision.The overall level of mental health literacy of middle school students in Guizhou province is low,and the detection rate of mental sub-health symptoms is high.Mental health literacy has a direct impact on mental sub-health,and it has an indirect impact on mental sub-health through positive or negative coping.Group psychological counseling based on the theory of mental health literacy can improve the mental health level of middle school students. |
