A Study Of Ecological Culture Stored In Mongolian Folk Songs

To study the Mongolian ecological culture ,one may find it necessary to explore various fields as to enrich the content of ecological culture. Our predecessors turned their attention to Mongolian's nomadic production, hunting activities, daily customs, law articles, folklores, etc., when they tried to excavate ecological culture out of Mongolian traditional culture. This paper probes into the field of Mongolian folk songs that hasn't been deeply studied.This paper studies the ecological culture stored in Mongolian folk sings by analyzing respectively the content and form of those Mongolian folk songs, with the emphasis on the content. We find that there was a relatively more plentiful ecological culture in the historical period when nomadic economy held a dominant position than in other periods. The major part of the paper is to explore the contents , development history, and features of the ecological culture in Mongolian folk songs. As a result, I find the contents of those songs contain many aspects: expressing gratitude to nature, praising the beauty of nature, conveying their comprehension of life, protecting the ecological balance and pursing harmonious coexistence of man and prairie. The development history mainly refers to the appearance, growth and declining of ecological culture in Mongolian folk songs. The features can be generalized as follows: based on the nomadic economy, reflecting the inclination of centering-to-ecology, having educating significance, simple and elementary in nature.In the end, the paper points out the practical significance of ecological culture in Mongolian folk songs and puts forward the necessity for ecological culture to be based on ecological economy, the necessity of respecting the former residents' lifestyle and the phase development law of ecological culture. Besides, the paper alsopoints out that ecological culture in Mongolian folk songs greatly closes the ties between man and nature, helps addressing the ecological problems appearing in the compact communities inhabited by Mongolian people.
