Zhangjing was a commander-in-chief of "the Later Japanese pirates in the Jiajing Period", he governed military affairs of southern province directly under government , Zhejiang province, Fujian province. His rights was very big, his responsibility was very heavy. Zhangjing had rich experience and cautious attitude, devoted all his attention to plan and prepare army provisions, manoeuvred local soldiers of Guangxi and Huguang, waited for opportunity, launched decisive battle, eventually fulfilled his mission, acquired the great victory of Wang Jiangjing, heavily defeated Japanese invaders. The court had Zhao Wenhua to inspect military situation at the same time. He framed a case against Zhangjing, who connived at the existence of Japanese pirates and wasted army provisions and missed the military chance, made him accused falsely and killed. Zhangjing case was a undeserved case during resisting and counterattacking the Japanese pirates in the middle and evening of Jiajing period in the Ming Dynasty. The result was by Zhao Wenhua on the surface,but an in-depth analysis showed that the case concealed the profound political reason in fact. The difference in opinion of the court and front-line marshal and general concerning destroying Japanese pirates was an important reason.Yansong monopolized power and cliqued, and had an influence on adding fuel to the fire. The special political structure, autarchy of autocratic imperial power and personal factor of the Jiajing emperor led to Zhangjing' s tragedy finally. Through study of Zhangjing. case,we cohld see through the political condition in the Jiajing period, comprehend handling complexity of exterminating the Japanese pirates, consequently had much profound knowledge for history of Jiajing perioda from new angle of view.
