The present study is found from adolescents' self-esteem. It analyzes the mutual relations between adolescents' autonomy, self-esteem and parental style from a more systematic perspective.The present study has examined: the characteristic of adolescents' autonomy; the characteristic of adolescents' self-esteem; the characteristic of parental style; the effect of parental style and adolescents' autonomy; the effect of parental style and adolescents' self esteem; the mutual relations between adolescents' autonomy, self-esteem and parental style. Data were collected via a questionnaire battery administered to a sample of 506 adolescents from grade7, 8 and 9. The questionnaire battery contained Parenting style, adolescents' self-esteem and adolescents' autonomy. The main findings from the Present study are as follows: 1. In general, the development of adolescents' self-esteem is a development mode of U model. The adolescents' self-esteem reflects sexual difference. 2. There are sexual and grade differences in Adolescent' s Parental style . We should pay attention to the important of both mother and fathe in a family. 3. The relation of parental emotional-warmth and adolescents' self-esteem is toward direct ratio. The relation of Parental punishment and sternness and adolescents' self-esteem is toward inverse ratio. The influence of different parental styles is greatly discrepancy. Parental emotional -warmth and punishment influent adolescents' self-esteem remarkably. 4. The relation of parental overprotection and favoring and adolescents' autonomy is toward inverse ratio. The relation of parental emotional-warmth and adolescents' autonomy is toward direct ratio. The influence of different parental styles is not discrepancy. Different parental styles do not influent adolescents' autonomy remarkably 5. The relation of adolescents' autonomy and adolescents' self-esteem is toward direct ratio.
