On Sun Li's Creation Style

Sun Li, an outstanding writer, is famous for his distinctive creation style in the history of contemporary literature, and experienced his creation development in forties years in last century. His works characterized with "simplicity and elegance, freshness and gentleness,"not only depict a relatively serene world of "Bai Yang Lake"in that war-ridden age, extend the aesthetic connotation of literature about the War of Resistance, exert a profound influence on the creation by the school of "Lotus-covered Lake", but also preserve the communication with modern readers in the new period. Experiencing the War of Resistance against Japan, the "Cultural Revolution"and the period of New China, the creation style of Sun Li changed correspondingly from its original formation, well-establishment to variation, performing as a paradigm of evolution of style. Based on the discussion of the origin and variation of his creation style, the thesis emphasizes on the interpretation of the features of his style and the aesthetic spirit imbedded in his novels. Besides, concerning about the total trends of literature in liberated areas and comparing with the development of the series of local literature, the thesis aims to reach an objective and impartial judgment of the value of works by Sun Li in the history of contemporary literature.
