The translation of Akudagawaryunosuke's works in our country can be backward to 1920's. Many Chinese writers, such as Lu Xun, Xia Gaizhun, Fang Guangtao, Zhang Kebiao, Lou Shiyi and Wen Akudagawaryunosukeruo had translated his works, so there are several generations of "Akudagawaryunosuke fans" in China. Still, the interest on akudagawaryunosuke in China is just only stop on the translation of his works. It becomes a great contrast with the deeply study of Akudagawaryunosuke in Japan. So I choose this thesis.Recently, making use of the Imagelogy, it makes great achievements in the study of the image of in the Western literature. While, it ignores the study of Japan which as the same cultural headstream. This paper just uses the theory of the Imagelogy which rose in Europe last century. It begins from the analyse of the three factors which shape the "Chinese substance": environment, interest, tutors. It not only demonstrates that the "Chinese substance" produced by Akudagawaryunosuke is Chinese literature's "Japaneselize", but also argues that wearing the coloured glasses of "foreign country emotional appeal", he made the Chinese material "personalize". The image of China in The Visit to China proves that anyone cannot be divorced from the unconsciousness of collectivity absolutely. And it is also Akudagawaryunosuke's unconsciously agreement of " imaginaire social" for the limit of his status and his angle of view. Contrasted with the other Japanese writers during his time, this paper tries to find out the changes of the image of China during the modernization of both China and Japan. The author of this paper provides that the different images of China are almost the same under the colonization of both Japan and Europe. As an extra, the image of China embodies Japanese and European value judgement and standards, in which, there are both affirmation and animadversion, both favor and hate. Admitting that there is possible for dialogs between different cultures, that is the meaning and value of different cultures coexist harmoniously in the flourish world cultural patterns.
