The development of district society economy is an important part of China's modern society progress. During this period, the destruction of the vegetation in Wenyu drainage area leads to the ecology environment depravation of the area. This has been the prime and the basis of the economy and society change in modern Wenyu drainage area.Then, the thesis analyzes the modern economy in Jiaocheng which centers on the handmade leather manufactory. In the middle of the Wenyu drainage area, Jiaocheng reached the local prosperity based on the various natural condition and leather manufactory.Finally, the thesis talks about the ecologic and social problems. A serious of social problems occurred in modern Jiaocheng under the function of the natural environment, such as the endemic. Besides, many social conflict based on the environment took place, like the conflict between the government and people caused by opium. And all these social problems have become a challenge and impact to the society.In a word, the thesis tries to research the change with a brand-new view of the change the economy and society in Wenyu drainage area during Ming and Qing Dynasty and the intractable function of the environmental and economic function.
