Research Of German Critical Psychology

German Critical psychology is a research group that headed by Holzkamp Klaus (1927-1995) in Free Berlin University, included some members as Holzkamp-Osterkamp, Morus Markard, Wolfgang Maiers etc. As the opponents of the mainstream psychology, they are apart of the critical thoughts of science psychology. They insist on Marxism principal and against the mainstream bourgeois psychology that only service the governed class. Considering the theory of psychology should related to the real interest of human, they attempt to develop a scientific and political psychology theoretically who services working people. Social movements and some issues in inner field of psychology promoted the naissance of Critical psychology, which have developed about half century. Since Critical psychology is different from other genre of mainstream psychology, we will introduce its origin, history and main thoughts generally. In 1960', people tired of the object and universal principal prevalently that pursued by behaviorist. In sociology and philosophy area some scholar begin to critic and reflex the objectivism, almost simultaneity there are arguments of the crisis of psychology. Influenced by economic fluctuation in west society, People's resist emotion is enhanced by and by, and student movements like a rising wind and scudding clouds fighting against all the authority. Affected by these two actions, German Critical psychology come into being gradually, which attempt to use the Marxism instead of the empiricism as the foundation of psychology research. They absorbed the idea of Frankfurt school and part thinking of phenomenology, suggested by materialism Psychology in Soviet, choosing to change the futilitarians in psychology and reconstruct the scientific statutes in research and application value in society. Critical psychology directed under Marxism, rescanning the research area in psychology, considering that traditional psychology recognition objectivity, nature and general principle ignoring subjectivity, sociality and individual traits, but the subjectivity and sociality is the real essence of human psychical.
