The thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter one briefs the composing time of The Shi's Marriage Of The Ceremonial Etiquette. The thesis approves the time is from the last stage of the Spring and Autumn Period to the early stage of the Warring States Period., and it's content is mostly about the marriage etiquette in Spring and Autumn Period. It is the comparative base that The Shi's Marriage Of The Ceremonial Etiquette and Zuo Zhuan, as the two nearly have the same composing time and contents.Chapter two describes the six marriage ceremonies in two books. According to the Comparison, we can conclude that their main parts are same, except for some implemental procedure.Through the analysis of the two books, chapter three discusses the difference contents between the two books, and also analyzes the reasons which bring on the difference. Synthetizing chapter two and chapter three, we can conclude that the same is majority, while the difference is minority.Chapter four dissertates the relations between husband and wife as well as different women. A system of humanity of hierarchy is founded by marriage ceremony, to sum up, in Spring and Autumn Period men are superior to women, while women have different hierarchy.The last chapter discusses the women's actual position in Spring and AutumnPeriod. As some factors exist such as politics, the contradiction of gender system, the fealty to the mother and the elder, women's position is complicated.
