Writing "Qiang" And Studying "Qiang"

As the typical text that wrote about "different group" in the Chinese National history , Xi Qiang Zhuan has gone through two main stages when it was interpreted. Firstly, it is under the social context of the feudal order of the Confucian ethical culture and the patriarchal clan system of China, Xi Qiang Zhuan was considered as the ideological tool for a kind of policy from writing to understanding, whose purpose was to maintain and consolidate the orthodox China and the government of the country. However, in the context of modern scientific reason and democratic freedom, the text is interpreted in a totally different way. This is a text which is regarded as a kind of historical document, and is interpreted scientifically and academically in disciplinary domains such as history , ethnology , linguistics etc. And thus we can get an objective, reasonable and just description of " Qiang " nationality and the scientific and historical basis that "Qiang" is a member of the Chinese minority nationality.However, these ways of interpreting " Qiang " is incomplete to Xi Qiang Zhuan, because there has not been deep researches and studying that interpret it in terms of literary meaning yet so far. Meanwhile, in the cross-cultural and interdisciplinary social situation, the traditional ways of interpretation of Xi Qiang Zhuan have already exposed misreading in various degrees. Therefore, this thesis attempts to have an innovative try and regards Xi Qiang Zhuan as one special literary text. According to its literature identity, the thesis describes the characteristic of literaryand textual functions in term of poetics, thus makes this kind of literature value into the structure of culture. And then, this thesis proceeds a deep interpretation with using the way of culture study to discuss and explain different situation and state of the history records tradition, the form of writing and constructive function under different social structure and national model. Sequentially, as these experiences are concerned, the relation and the mutual influence in social changes of the culture, history, text and words are elucidated.
