There are a lot of factors that may influcnce foreign language learning. How well one can learn a foreign language depends on many factors, both internal and external. For the individual learner, he has to be aware of how to tap his learning potential into full play. The study of internal factor is to serve the purpose. This paper covers the influence of learner's internal factors on foreign language learning, proposes suggestions and solutions to the problems that may affect effective learning. It also suggests ways to avoid the negative effect of learner internal factor on foreign language learning. The paper falls into three parts: The second part covers biological factors such as intelligence and age. The third part deals with the effect of mother tongue on foreign language learning. Each part starts from the introduction of the concept of the specific factor. And then analysis is offered on the relationship between the factors and foreign language learning. It is intended to produce suggestive method to avoid negative effect of internal factors and promote positive effect on foreign language learning.
