A New Visual Angle Of Moral Research:the Theory And Empirical Research Of Moral Judgment Test

Moral Judgment Test (abbr. MJT) which is used for measuring personal moral judgment ability was developed in 1976 by Dr. Georg Lind, who is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Konstanz. This dissertation introduces Lind's theory of moral judgment ability about MJT, and with the Chinese version MJT some research was pushed into forward in China.The theory part of this dissertation is beginning with two conceptions of moral in traditional psychology. After laying out the mess of moral study in present, Lind's moral's Dynamic-Structural Attitude Unit concept is introduced. And then the measurement tool - Moral Judgment Test - Lind developed to settle the problem is introduced. MJT is introduced in detail to help readers to know it better, especially the moral theory background which is Dual-Aspect Model of Moral Behavior and Development and the measure theory background which is In-one Subject Multi-factorial Experiment Design. The dissertation still introduces Lind's some MJT-based researches, such as Regression in cognitive-moral development, the optimal age for moral education and the relationship between moral and helpful behaviors, etc. The systemic summarization of these researches is helpful to understand many kinds of questions which relate to moral judgment. The dissertation also introduces Lind's ideas about moral education, include the researches on the relation between moral recognize and moral behavior, moral autonomy and take responsibility and the feasibility of operable moral dilemma discussion method in class and so on. These researches are useful reference to factual moral education operation.In the empirical research part of this dissertation, Chinese version MJT is used. The results of data analyses indicate the moral develop actuality of Chinese high school students and university students, and some advices in moral education are brought forward.
