From his ?Two hometowns)) to "Yaogou series", then to "Palou series", YanLianke has revealed a vivid coutry world to us and showed his sincere and lasting concern to the difficult position of Chinese peasants. With the coming of the new century, the society is in transition and the novel-writing shows plural patterns. YanLianke's novels impress us deeply as he writes them like fables. From 90s last century, Yan's style has changed obviously. He writes in the way of writing fables, by this way, he creats various images, propel the development of the plots. He also use special images as metaphor of the reality, to express his mood, gives the readers a feeling of uncertainty and originality, which can touch readers' hearts deeply. From the very beginning, YanLianke wanted to leave his hometown forever, but later, he recognizes that it is just his hometown that provide him with rich materials of writing novels. We can say that earth is necessary and important to YanLianke, it helps Yan establish a fame, the readers love his novels just because they show them a special country world. Defferent from other writers who also write about special regions, YanLianke hasn't say anything about the conflict and change which the modern civilization brought to the country, what's more, he hasn't showed any tendentiousness of criticism. He just portrays the country objectively with broad-mindedness. Though his novels write about the country, YanLianke doesn't just stop at narrating the surface of country life, he also has the whole mankind in his mind, which brings to his novel a common meaning. This thesis trys to analysize YanLianke's novels generally and meticulously, make a macroscopic and dynamic inspection to them and find out the way Yan develops his fable-style writing. The first chapter focuses on the fable factors which Yan's novels reveal; the second chapter focuses on the analysis of Yan's famous ((RiGuangLiuNian)) ; the third chapter trys to find out the reasons which lead Yan to write in this way.
