This study was conducted to research the effects of cue way, element spatial arrangement on making-decision-performance in the multielement visual display, while the reliability of every element was different. In this study, sense discrimination capacity and element weight were analysised. There were three experiments in this study. Experiment 1 and experiment 2 researched the effects of cue way (color, luminance, flashing) on making-decision-performance, and confirmed the best cue way, which used digit and graphics respectively. Experiment 3 explored the effects of element spatial arrangement (blocking, distributed) on the making-decision-performance.The following results were obtained:1. The cues promoted the performance significantly in multielement visual display. Among color, lumiance, flashing, the best cue way was flashing.2. The element weight of high reliability element received was significantly higher than that of low reliability element, while cueing the high reliability element.3. It was the reason of higher performance while cueing the high reliability element that the cue could help the subject distributeattention effectively, focus their attention on higher reliabilityelements.4. The performance of blocking display was significantly higher than thatof distributed display in multielement visual display.
