For a long time, the heart-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu is always been thinked falsely as it is formed through inosculating Zen thought. But in this paper, through studying the family environment of Xiang-shan Lu and his thought about society during grow-up process, that the heart-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu is the necessary result of Menzi's heart-mind theory for fitting social development is get. This variety can see clearly from the school transfer form Ming-dao Cheng to Xiang-shan Lu. The diverge between Zhuzi and Xiang-shan Lu is just the keystone of eatablishing their view, but not they are opposed, and their diverge is inner argument but not argument between Confucianism and zen.Because the heart-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu origin from Meng-zi, of course its thought has most difference with Zen. On the aspect of ontological view, the heart is seen equal with the virtue and morality that are sparkpluged by Confucianism during the dynasty of earlier Qin in the heart-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu, the heart-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu endows material content of ethic and morality for the heart and character, however, the heart and character that is said by Zen of Buddhism is just the clear and comfortable characteristic. On the aspect of humanity view, the eclipse doctrine of the heart-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu is based on Meng-zi's doctrine that humanity is virtuous, it illuminate humanity from possibility aspect of following nature's law and respecting oracle, but the Zen of Buddhism is based on the doctrine that humanity is empty, which hasn't goodness and badness. The Zen of Buddhism probe into humanity problem from possibility aspect of breaking off puzzle and trouble. On the aspect of cognition view, the object and aim of cognition that is aimed at by the art-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu is the nature's law whose content are human relations and creed, the bourn of cognition view canonized by the art-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu are absolutely self-conscious know and hold to human relations and creed and making it get no effect of any human appetite. However, the object and aim of cognition of the Zen of Buddhism isprinciple that humanity is empty, which bourn of cognition view is breaking out cling and seeing anything empty.The difference of the art-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu and the Zen of Buddhism in ontological view, humanity view and cognition view make them produce strong diverge when they face material problem. Which result to the art-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu and the Zen of Buddhism have different standpoint, for example , the art-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu regard to morality and justice , protest to relieve society actively and see survival and death are natural, so it think survival is happy and death is unromantic. But the Zen of Buddhism only regard to selfish behalf, protest to escape society negatively and see survival and death are visional, so it think survival is toilsome and death is accursed.In the face of great difference of the art-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu and the Zen of Buddhism whether in nuclear essence or in material exhibition, we should can get that those people who rebuke Xiang-shan Lu is Buddhist produce bias because of confined breadth of mind. The art-mind theory of Xiang-shan Lu never become through so-called amalgamation, it is not only a knowledge, the more important is it is a kind of systemic thought, a kind of cultural ideology and a kind of innovation and enlargement to phrenic world, it make Confucianism walk up a sacred path that have strong color of human relations.
