The Investigation Of Practical Characters Of Contemporary Chinese Popular Culture

As a culture phenomenon produced under Chinese market economybackground, popular culture development has influenced contemporary societydevelopment deeply and the daily life of our country, and become actual necessarypart of people's life. In the social life practice, the popular culture has showed a'two-edge' sword effectiveness. Facing the development of the popular culture, wecan't let it go as it will. We must make it regular and guide it from the height of thedevelopment of the modernization of China, in order to make it be adapt with thedevelopment direction of our country's advanced culture. Therefore, how to knowthe characters which Chinese popular culture made in practice and how to analyzethe display which Chinese popular culture show in practice correctly and rationallybecomes a theoretical and actual problem that need to face seriously and be solved.Based on the standpoint of Marxism, this article used the method of subjectscross and historical analysis. First, it restricted the definition of the concept whichpopular life means after reading a lot of relevant documents, then investigated theproduction and development route, made the reason of the rise of popular cultureorderly and conclude the important effect of popular culture which the city rise ofour country and the social change caused briefly. Besides, it also discuss theimportant influence of the "personal territory", the development of modern popularmedia and culture industry, loose culture politics and more relevant reasons havecaused.The core of this article is the investigation of the practical character ofpopular culture. In the thesis opinion, the practical connotation from 'foreignproduction' to ' having Chinese character production', the special developmentfrom 'edge' to 'center', the prosperity and falsity of culture market, the start anddevelopment of culture consumption upsurge, the unbalance of the developmentdirection, the rapid development of popular media and culture industry in practiceare discussed. Be aware of these, we can grasp the route of popular culture andknow its direction more clearly, then reinforce the regularity and guidance of it.At last, this article made a value analysis and rational thought for the practicalcharacter which popular culture shows systematically in practice. It pointed outthat in the Chinese society development, popular culture exploited the space of ourmodern life objectively, raised our modern culture quality, and at the same timereinforced the social and economical effectiveness. This article also has forecastedthe development of Chinese popular culture in future, and in its opinion, it mustuse natural value guidance to make a popular culture practice road of Chinesecharacter.
