A Study Of The Impact Of Cultural Globalization On The Status And Development Of Contemporary Chinese Popular Culture

Cultural globalization is the strongest effect of the globalization in the cultural field. It is the human cultural interaction exchanges under the premise of respecting cultural differences. However, in reality, it caused western cultural hegemonism and put Third World countries in the vulnerable position of cultural globalization.As we all know in today's world, the biggest threat of national cultural sovereignty independence is western cultural hegemonism strategies to achieve western culture as the center of cultural homogenization of the world. Therefore, from the development of Chinese popular culture aspect, the western mass culture had a more negative impact on Chinese popular culture. From the current situation of contemporary Chinese popular culture and the negative impact which western culture hegemonism brought, this article explore the development way of contemporary Chinese popular culture.Systematology as a key research method was selected in this article. From a cultural globalization perspective, we analyze how to develop contemporary Chinese popular culture in the process of globalization. This article use qualitative research to analyze the development of Chinese popular culture and the negative impact from expansion of western popular culture and we apply to Marxist theory to see contemporary Chinese popular culture. At the same time, through application of historical data collection method to recognize characteristic of Western mass culture and its negative impact on the development of contemporary Chinese popular culture, we analyze the status of development of contemporary Chinese popular culture. On this basis, we seek to a targeted way to find countermeasures.Under the cultural globalization situation, by examining the production and development conditions of contemporary Chinese popular culture and analyzing the hegemony of Western culture impressed to its negative impact on contemporary Chinese popular culture to explore the feasible development strategies. Taking the framework of global and local into consideration, we actively view the China popular culture as part of the world's cultural treasure house. With the successful experience of other countries, we actively participate in international cooperation to make both local culture and world culture prosperous.
