| When widely review and research art nowadays in the world, we can seetwo kinds of trends. One is following the tradition all the time, that art tendsto composition from single itself. The other is the developing combinedtendency of art and modern high-tech. Artists' material is also called "mediummaterial", which has a wider range, from consumer goods to industrialproducts, from nature to man-made things. All of them can be used,compositivly or not .Aimed at the phenomena, this thesis sets forth the compositive material'schanges in the course of artists' use and ideas. From original cavern muralpaintings to up-to-date art, the thesis analyses compositive material's kinds,function, effect, etc. Anciently traditional art don't hardly act in concert on adifferent world today. However the compositive material painting's multipolebehavior embodies the whole immense life and world. Although once"experiment character" prevented material art from going ahead, because ofartists' endeavor, need of society and spirit sustainability of public, superiorart gradually turns into popular art, and becomes a part of public life.During the course of writing the thesis, opened out from the developinghistory of art's material and modern art, painting art with experimentcharacter has possessed great value, which is a kind of spirit and attitude inthe history of human being. At the same time, it is the most essential aspectabout man's exploration, progress, self-examination and self-excitation. Onthe basic of previous experience, the author combines theory and practice inorder to prepare fully for the thesis, and do author's endeavor to perfectprofessional theoretical part of material experiment art.
