As a new feeling novelist in 1930s,Mu Shiying had a real grasp of the essence of the city and was the first man to described it, which gained genuine life in his novles. However,lifeless stories was narratied by a new and strage writing technique of modern novle,which resulted in deadly breaking between the form and content of novles. This paper analyses Mu Shiying and his novles from self-awareness,sees nihility resulted from self-awareness as the spirital score of Mu Shiying's modern novles ,which try to prove that the form and content of Mu Shiying's novles are integral unity. It is a conscious choice of the writer in his writing and an inevitable outcome of constructure of nihility. The whole paper includes five parts:Introduction part describe the definition and meaning of self-awareness;describe the emotion feeling after the frustration of self.awareness;prove the "BU LUO" novels, like "South-North pole", and modern sense novels, like "Cemetery",are integrated,but not separated and opposed.Part one proves the reasons that cause the nihilism of Mu Shiying and his novels. It is mainly based on the living background and growing experiences of novelist.Part two proves how the sense of nihilism is spread in the novels of Mu Shiying. Self-awareness was experiencing the steps of rising, resisting and struggling;the end, it is failed and replaced by the nihilism. The historic stage of nihilism is structured by three relevant parts: symbolic player, depraved love and weak loneness.Part three proves the modern sense of nihilism. Nihilism has the core;it needs a suitable appearance, and then, modern art, based on the modern sense of nihilism, come to the historic stage of China modern literature.Summarization part proves Mu Shiying's novels, from the contents to structures, is individual, and is a kind of soliloquy. It is a life feeling of nihilism after frustrate, when self-awareness try to impact the real society. It is doomed that Mu Shiying is a person "traveling on the bottom line of life".
