Tentative Study Of Six Bourns Of Watercolor Painting

An ideal realm of life is always, more or less, visible in painting. The realm is beneficiary to everyone, no matter he is ancient or modern, home or abroad. This paper makes a tentative research on theories for the watercolor painting with which future watercolor painting appreciation and especially bourn production for watercolor painting will have more guidance. Based on Wang Guowei's discussion about "bourn" in his works entitled Ren Jian Ci Hua, and with the theoretical basis of classification for poetry bourns from Si Kongtu's aesthetic works entitled Twenty-four Tastes for Poetry, this paper discusses the bourns of watercolor painting and tries to build a bridge between Chinese aesthetic theory and the imported watercolor painting.The author, beginning with the remarks about literature bourn by Wang Guowei and Pan Tianshou's points about art, finds out the origin and inspiration for the paper.The first chapter discusses the relationship between Wang Guowei's "bourn" and bourn of watercolor painting by discovering the similarity of them.The second chapter adopts Si Kongtu's poetry bourn classification from his aesthetic works entitled Twenty-four Tastes for Poetry , analyzes bourn of watercolor painting and classifies the bourn into six kinds: vigorous, classic ,diluted, gorgeous, fantastic, connotative.The third chapter generalizes the aesthetic characteristics into the beauty of structure, beauty of water rhythm, beauty of texture and beauty of music.The fourth chapter explores three creation rules for the bourn of watercolor painting, that is, applying Chinese theories to western watercolor painting creation, adopting advantages of foreign theories to Chinese watercolor painting creation and creating bourn out of gaining the Dao.The last part is a conclusion for the whole paper. It gives a comprehensive understanding for the watercolor painting bourn and raises the bourn creation for watercolor painting to the philosophical level.
